New imgix-swift Library

• Release new client library for Swift and Objective-C projects. This replaces our previous Swift and Objective-C libraries. See it on GitHub.

Update to SVG Pass-through

• We've modified our SVG pass-through to require proper encoding per the W3C spec. SVG files that don't conform to the spec will returned as Content-Type:text/plain.

Dashboard

• Updated the contact form to prevent folks from accidentally sending requests twice.
• Tweaked the "highlight cards" at the top of the dashboard view to reduce unsightly linebreaks.
• Style fixes to make callout bubbles work a bit better on small screens.

Libraries

• Released imgix-python 1.1.2, with improved URL encoding for web proxy sources. See this GitHub ticket for more information.
• Released imgix-objc 1.0.2, which fixes the git source for CocoaPods.
• Released imgix.js 3.0.1, which adds the ixlib diagnostic parameter (ixjsv, in older versions of imgix.js).

imgix.js 3.0

• Launched a major update to imgix.js, our most popular library. It offers better stability, performance, and standards compliance, while making responsive design easier to implement. Check it out on Github.

Dashboard

• Renamed the "Availability" graphs as "Delivery Success", to better reflect the actual metric being displayed.
• Tweaked the margins to be marginally less marginal at larger screen sizes.

Velocity Conference

• Had a great week at #VelocityConf—thanks to everyone who stopped by the booth to chat!

Dashboard

• Added a new support view with a form to write directly to our support team, and links to important sections of our documentation.
• Added a proper error message when trying to request a password reset link for an email address that doesn't exist in our system.
• Fixed a bug that prevented a useful error message from showing when trying to set a password using an expired link, instead showing a confusing generic message.
• Fixed a bug in the source-signing view that prevented URLs with non-API parameters (including our own ixlib parameter) from being used.
• Fixed another bug in the source-signing view that was showing an error message when using relative URLs for parameters such as mark and blend.
• Made a number of minor style improvements to form fields nested inside of info-table layouts, such as in the account view.

Website

• Launched a shiny new home page and added a detailed look at the benefits of using imgix.

Libraries

• Released Luminous 0.3.0, which adds support for image galleries.
• Released ember-cli-imgix 0.3.4, which prevents debounced calls on destroyed objects.

Blog

• Published a post on using imgix with the Low-Quality Image Placeholder method to improve user experiences.

Open-Source Updates

imgix-rails 2.0.0

Revamped with better srcset generation and picture tag support, similar to the upcoming changes in imgix.js 3.0.
